Fiona Davis (Chair)

Fiona has been a member of the committee since 2015 and has accepted the role of Chair for the 2017 event in addition to her role as Community Representative for SARC. (Scientific and Research Committee).  Fiona became involved with Cancer Council Tasmania after the death of her husband Pete in 2012, and sees it as a logical contribution to the organisation that provided Pete and the extended family with so much vital support.

Fiona is a lawyer practicing primarily in family law, and loves it. She also has experience in commercial and property law, advising clients on a wide range of matters including commercial and residential conveyancing, sales and purchases of businesses, commercial and residential leases, contract negotiation and other commercial transactions. Fiona also practices in estate planning providing advice in relation to wills, powers of attorney and instruments appointing enduring guardians.  She is also and most importantly the mother of Poppy who is now almost six.

Fiona remembers Pete and Jo, and celebrates Bella’s excellent health.
